The estate has a history dating back to at least 1712 and is named  after the three crosses on a nearby 12th century church.In 1995 it was bought by a Patrick L;eon who had previously worked at Chateau Mouton Rothschild as well as estates in Chile and California. It is now run by his son Bertrand. It is located 86 metres above sea level on the Fronsac plateau and has 15 hectares under vine
