Fruity with a hint of blackberries. Rich flavor, yet light on the palate. A pleasure to drink, I agree it has a slight mineral/soily taste that gives it an even drier feel that creates a wonderful contrast to the fruitiness.

complex nose of god knows what, red currants, tar, and tobacco. Entry is nice, but like mentioned in a previous review, a lack of complexity on the finish and it IS a bit hot with a touch of sweetness. I'm still trying to decide if this is marvelous or a sad decline. For a 1995, tasting it right now March 2nd, of 2010, I am a bit surprised how ... Read More
A bit of sweet oak on the nose along with plummy fruit. Tight, but flashy, yet at times unassuming and closed. We tasted this wine over a 6 hour period after decanting. After 6 hours the plummy fruit became fresh dark cherry, way more youthful, and more balanced with finesse, but at the same time big red fruits. I enjoyed it a great deal. Needs... Read More
