Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley is often reputed to be the birthplace of vine growing and is now the home to a small number of high quality wine producers. Akram Kassatly trained to be a wine maker in Burgundy back in the 1960’s but his dream of making wine in his homeland was thwarted by war and the ensuing disruption.
