The DULON family have been wine-makers from father to son for more than 250 years, although there was one generation when a member of the family became a miller (the mill that still stands next to the house is proof of this). When Jean DULON founded the property, there were only 12 hectares; today Michel DULON manages 130 hectares. Vignobles DULON are situated in the Entre Deux Mers region of the department of the Gironde (33) in South West France. Mr and Mrs Dulon are the owners of three vineyards, which are spreading over the villages of Soulignac, Targon, Langoiran. The exceptional orientation of these vineyards and the specials terroirs provide perfect conditions to produce great wines. We produce quality AOC labeled wines: AOC Bordeaux Rouge, AOC Bordeaux Supérieur, AOC Bordeaux Blanc, AOC Bordeaux Entre Deux Mers, AOC Bordeaux Rosé, AOC Premières Cotes de Bordeaux. – Description from djjoleM

  • Château Jean Voisin Red Bordeaux Blend St. Émilion Grand Cru 2005

    Snoothrank:

50% merlot, 50% cab franc, interesting and tasty Bordeaux. Tested from a preservation machine. Intense nose of volatiles (nail polish) and perfumey floral with notes of warm spice (pepper, vanilla, perhaps anise) and sour dark fruit (blackberry-cassis, dark cherry, blood orange). In the mouth has firm acid with balanced slightly smokey deep laye... Read More

  • Château Magdelaine is quite simply my very favorite estate in all of St. Emilion, and probably would rank in my top five producers from the entire Bordeaux region, if I had to come up with a short list of my favorites. This is one of the best-situated châteaux in the heart and soul of the St. Emilion Côtes, with beautifully laid out vineyards pl... Read More

  • Château Franc la Rose Red Bordeaux Blend St. Émilion Grand Cru 2005

    Snoothrank:

Last night we decided to celebrate a one of lifes important moments and opened up a 2005 Château Franc La Rose Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. It is produced by Jean-Louis Trocard, a family that has made wines since the year 1620. Saint-Émilion is the oldest area of Bordeaux and produces arguably the heartiest wines in the region. • Château Jean Voisin Red Bordeaux Blend St. Émilion Grand Cru 2005

    Snoothrank:

Pop and pour. Smooth and light in the mouth. Flavors of sour ripe dark cherry and plum, not much vegetal, not too complex, dry to off-dry, medium minus acid with slightly drying tannins. Somewhat light tasting for a Bordeaux. 50-50 Mix of merlot and cab franc. Read More
