Château de Terrefort-Quancard
Château de Terrefort-Quancard is a wine produced by Cheval Quancard, named for the historic 16th century estate that has been in the Quancard family since 1891. It’s situated on the highest point of the hill in Cubzac-les-Ponts, overlooking the Dordogne, between Côtes de Bourg and Côtes de Fronsac. These straddle the famous “45th parallel,” which enjoys a sunny, warm, humid climate and mild winter. The climatic factors in this location are known for contributing to a long growing season that produces well-structured grapes. The wine is classified as a Bordeaux Supérieur and consists of 64% Merlot and 36% Cabernet Sauvignon.– Description from Amanda Schuster
