This estate is located about 12 miles south of the City of Bordeaux just north of the villages of Le Tourne and Langoiran on the east bank of the river Garonne. There are records of a building and a wine estate here going back to at least the 16th century and the place was restored in the 20th century. There are about 40 hectares on a gravel soil sloping down towards the river and a range of red, white and rose wines are produced. It was owned and run by a Francois Masson-Regnault but in 2013 he sold up to a Chinese firm, Mr Wu,a rice wine manufacturer.Hence there is now a Chinese language option on the website

  • Last night I started a bottle of Chateau de Pic from the Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux appellation with my supper of roast lamb. This is yet another example of a wine from a 'petit chateau'  from one of the less fashionable appellations in Bordeaux turning out to be just lovely and at a value for money price Read More

  • Hi everybody I'm a small store owner at the edge of the rust belt, my customers rarely spend over $20 for a bottle, and I am looking to improve my selection a bit beyond what is here now. If you have a minute to help a guy out let me know what you think are the best wines that usually sell for $20 or less. Thanks ! Read More

  • OK, this is a topic that hasn't come up recently but has many times in the past. How to store wine in the house? Whether to refrigerate?  How to choose passive or refrigerated wine cellars? What kind of wine fridges are best?  Etc., etc.I was doing some real estate shopping in the Ventura/Santa Barbara counties area and ran across a higher-end h... Read More
