Although the cellars are 17th Century, most of the actual building dates back to a re-construction in 1821. The premises are now used by the Cave de Chenas co-operative group [ founded 1934 ] which is responsible for almost half of the total production in the Chenas AOC They also produce red, white.rose and sparkling wines from many of the other Beaujolais Crus as well as the Beaujolais and Beaujolais Village AOC's. It is a large co-operative group with over 110 members
