  • I had a Costieres de Nimes with m,y meal of roast pork. It is from Chateau de Campuget and is made from the syrah grape but I found it a little bland. It was certainly smooth and easy drinking with some blackcurrant style fruit and soft tannins but it was nothing to get excited about Read More

    Snoothrank:

I bought this bottle of wine from a shop in Kent [www.dickenshousewine.co.uk ] for £12.50. Costieres de Nimes is an appellation created in 1989 [although there has been viticulture here since before the Romans ] for red, white and rose wines from 24 communes between the towns of Nimes and Arles. Enjoyed this for the first time tonight. I was quite surprised as it tasted very similar to a pinot noir. We served it chilled with a salad and meatpie...perfect pairing. Read More

  • Chateau de Campuget Tradition de Campuget Costières de Nimes Rosé 2010

    Snoothrank:

2009 vintage : Very good rose. Bone dry, crisp, a nice structure from the Syrah. Raspberry, cherry and a bit of spice mid-palate, and mixed berries & cream on the lingering finish. Read More

  • Château de Campuget Syrah Blend Costières-de-Nîmes Rosé 2009

    Snoothrank:

70% syrah, 30% grenache. Flavors were a bit more pronounced after one day (post-opening) in the fridge. Slightly citrusy, with hints of ripe hard cheese, mineral, watermelon, berry, and spice, all of which although light are subtle and balanced in the mouth. Has a slight sour pucker factor on the finish. Read More
