Château de Bellevue
Cognac One partners with 300-year old Beaujolais Maison Jean Loron and becomes U.S. exclusive importer of Château de Bellevue. The first two wines to enter the portfolio are Morgon Les Charmes 2011 and Morgon Le Clos 2009.
Cognac One has found in Maison Jean Loron a house where the notions of tradition, knowledge and generosity are held in the hands of Xavier Barbet, the current owner and manager of the estate and representative of the family's eighth-generation.
With a total of 22 hectares of Gamay planted in Morgon, Château de Bellevue is one of the major domains of the appellation and produces superb wines, including Morgon Les Charmes and Morgon Le Clos, both now imported by Cognac One.

We head for his cellar, hung with amusing po... Read More

Chateau Pelan Bellevue Bordeaux Cotes de Francs 2001 (tasted 3rd April 2010)The wine appears clear at the rim, immediately showing off its 9 years. The colour, a pale ruby with hues of orange and brick, also tells us this wine is mature. 9 years is not very old, but for this wine I feel it is. I first tasted this wine 4 years ago and it was joy... Read More
