The estate was established in the 18th century and owned by the Hugon family for a long time.It is named after an Anthonic Hugon but in 1977 it was bought by the Cordonnier family who already owned the nearby Chateau Dutruch Grand Poujeaux and is now run by Jean-Baptiste Cordonnier.It consists of 40 hectares most of which is on the clay/limestone Moulis plateau.t– Description from duncan 906

I bought this bottle of wine for £10 from a wine merchant in Sussex. Moulis is a small appellation for red wines from around the village of that name about 20 miles north of the City of Bordeaux on the Medoc peninsular which got AOC status in 1938.
