Cellier des Dauphins
Cellier des Dauphins, a.k.a. Union des Vignerons des Côtes du Rhône (U.V.C.D.R.), is a groupng of 13 wine co-operatives in the Southern Rhone in France. It was formed to better supervise quality control for producers who until then were mostly distributed as bulk wines. The wines are produced at each of the 13 locations, then bottled and stored at the Cellier des Dauphins winery in Tulette.This is a massive concern producing 50 million bottles a year and using thousands of growers– Description from Amanda Schuster
Dark ruby color. Sweet hints on the nose . Spicy and peppery on the finish with soft tannins . Very enjoyable much better than the price. I have cote du rhone 3 times as costly that was not as drinkable ,
