From the moment you enter the driveway you will appreciate that this is one of the Gold Coast Hinterlands most charming wineries. The vineyard consists of two varieties including Chambourcin and Verdelho. Other varieties are sourced from some of Queenslands top vineyards, providing the winemaker with extensive resources. Enjoy a mouth watering meal in our restaurant overlooking Wild Duck Lake or take in one of our many tourist attractions. Popular activities include the rainforest walk leading to our captivating glow-worm caves, the Prime Ministers Way and Arthur Hamblin art gallery. Cedar Creek Estate is also available for wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate functions and group events. – Description from iskicm

  • Napa Valley grape growers and winemakers wore out their worry beads in 2011. Rain came early, often and didn’t want to go away. It was a cool year as well, forcing winemakers to spend even more time walking the vineyards than usual. Napa Valley is accustomed to dry, warm, sunny growing seasons. It’s Cabernet Sauvignon wines are widely known for ... Read More

  • Liver what? It’s that great wine region you’ve never heard of. Less than an hour from San Francisco. A growing wine scene based on a century and a half of history. Great climate, friendly people, tasting rooms that are not filled to capacity with people you don’t want to be rubbing shoulders with. You know, one of those regions that is truly up ... Read More

  • You have to love Australia’s red wines. If for nothing else than the sheer simplicity of twisting off a baker’s dozen of screw-caps as opposed to setting out to fight with so many corks. OK that’s not a tremendous motivation to get you to try these wines but it was a sweet sight for my sore eyes, or hand as the case may be. Some of these wines w... Read More

  • So I'm a day late, sue me. Wednesday night a few of us got together in Napa for an impromptu offline. Wines that don't suck and  BBQ from Busters in Calistoga. About 12 bottles, 2 of which were cooked/spoiled, but some others I had not tasted before. We started off with a white. 2010 Ziata Sauvignon Blanc. • Zinfandel, it’s no secret that I’ve carried on a long and intimate relationship with you. There is so much you have to offer. Sometimes you're a bit rough and tumble, edgy, even dangerous, while other times you’re coy or playful. But you’re always there for me, with joyous fruit, classic bramble notes and structure, allowing for early consumptio... Read More

  • Well most everyone has received their wines and have had them resting for a while. Unfortunately, we had a few shipping issues along the way, but all in all I think we did pretty good. Foxall is the only one not to have received anything yet, while Shi's SS wasn't heard from, but luckily an elf stepped in and sent her some wine. Finally, it look... Read More

  • Cedar Creek Estate Winery Platinum Meritage "Colbert Edition" 2006

    Snoothrank:

The plummy, Bordelais nose on this wine is both expressive and impressive; the mixed brambleberry, plum and cherry is an interesting olafactory brew, and on the palate, this lean style has finesse and complex remnants of Himalayan blackberry flavours. Tannins are disappearing fast and the wine should peak in about 1-2 years. Perfect now. 89 po... Read More

  • Cedarcreek Estate Winery Riesling 2011

    Snoothrank:

Over the past decade, Cedar Creek has produced consistent appeal with their Riesling; the 2011 is no exception and is possibly the best produced so far by this estate. Good fresh fruit on the nose and excellent lift on the palate from the tropical fruit, pear and green apple with a citrus zing. The finish is medium to long for this grape and ha... Read More

  • Cedarcreek Estate Winery Platinum Viognier 2011

    Snoothrank:

A typical product of the 2011 growing season in Brtitish Columbia's Okanagan Valley, this white wine shows clean, spring water infused with peach, apricot, lychee and almonds. The palate recieves a slightly watered down version of subtropical examples of this variety from (say) Chile. Very clean, refreshing, elegant and balanced for early drin... Read More
