Caves des Perrières

Two milleniums old, vineyard development in our region is the result of a long tradition. In the sixth century, within the law of Gombette, and later in the year 912 through the donation of the countess Eldegarde, the oldest document of the Geneva archives, the Genevan vineyards and villages are mentioned. Located ten kilometres from Geneva on the protected slopes of a hill, the small village of Peissy houses our winery. Our family owned LES PERRIÈRES is currently run by its eighth generation. The terroir is characterised by molasses (a soft, crumbly sandstone) and clay in its soils, as well as a mild climate, providing our wines with a warm flavour which underlines their fruit. Heirs to a long tradition, we believe in combining classic wine making methods with the latest in oenological techniques. Each type of wine undergoes a unique vinification process that will best highlight its qualities and authenticity. In order to be respectful of the environment, our vineyards are cultivated according to the federal norms of "Production Intégrée" (P.I.). – Description from dvoristanac    (hide)
