The "Fiesole" vineyard is situated opposite the farmhouse of the same name where we have our offices and winery. This is the farm's oldest vineyard, situated 350 metres north-east of Montalcino. The grapes from this vineyard are usually used to produce our Brunello di Montalcino. Nearby we find the "Poderuccio" vineyard. It is situated at 350 metres above sea-level. These grapes are also used to produce our Brunello di Montalcino. In 1986 we bought Cerretalto, a magical place. It is a natural amphitheatre near the Asso river at a height which varies between 250 and 300 metres above sea-level. Its position to the east of Montalcino means that it has a unique and unmistakable "Terroir". On the opposite side of Montalcino to the south-east, near Castelnuovo dell'Abate we find the "Pietradonice"vineyard. The earth, the position, the microclimate, the choice of clones, the grafting and a well organised vineyard all help to produce great grapes which improve each year. • Casanova Prosecco di Treviso Extra Dry NV

Big pear fruit on the nose followed by gentle lemon zest and sage notes. Sweet and bright on entry, downright juicy in the mouth with gentle salty, mineral-tinged sweet pear fruit. The back end is a touch diffused, making this seem perhaps sweeter than it is, though the finish shows nice acid cut and a definite saline note on the finale. 83pts Read More
