Description 1 of 2

Sartori Winery is located in the north of Verona, among the hills of Valpolicella, just in the heart of the classic production area, famous not only for its wines, but also for the pleasantness of the landscape and for the interesting tourist and cultural destinations. Here Pietro Sartori bought the seventeenth-century Villa Maria, which was the residence of counts Murari, still headquarters of the company. Very soon the excellent wines produced in the villa’s winery found favour with a growing clientele and so Regolo, Pietro’s son, made of this activity the successful vocation of the family. About the sixties Pier Umberto and Franco, Regolo’s sons, thanks to their strong entrepreneurial abilities, have had the merit of bearing the company to the international limelight, starting the export of Veronese wines. Today Andrea, Luca and Paolo, representatives of the fourth generation, have managed, thanks to their dedication, to continuously increase both quality and quantity of production. This are the outcomes reached thanks to a deep technological equipment innovation without forgetting the knowledge patrimony acquired by the Company. – Description from Sartori wines

Description 2 of 2

Sartori is a winery in the Verona district of the Veneto, Italy. It was founded in 1989 when Pietro Sartori purchased the Villa Maria estate in Valpolicella, which had a vineyard and small cellar attached. After some initial success, expansions and other vineyard sites were added to the portfolio over the years, always staying within the Sartori family. Pietro’s great-grandson, Andrea now overseas production. In 2006, Sartori joined forces with renown Veneto winemaker, Franco Bernabei. This line of wines, called I Saltari, is produced in the Mezzane Valley, just east of Verona. The saltari were the defenders of the vineyards, employed between the 16th and 18th centuries to keep out bandits and thieves. The name also reflects the guarding of standards of tradition used in producing the wines. This is very much in keeping with the Sartori family’s legacy of quality wine production and respect for heritage.
