CARGO ROAD WINES is located at 860 metres above sea level, on the sheltered northern slopes of Mount Canobolas, Orange in central western NSW. The vineyard was taken over by a trio from quite different backgrounds in 1997 (their story). We produce a range of red and white wines, our signature varieties being a Gewurztraminer and Zinfandel. Cargo Road Wines produce Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. Our signature red wine is made from the Zinfandel grape, a red variety that is relatively rare in Australia. The wine produced has some very unique characteristics and will suit a sophisticated wine buyer.
