Calais Estate is more than just a vineyard. It is a completely self-contained boutique winery that manages all aspects of the winemaking process from the growing and harvesting of its own grapes, through to the creation of its broad range of traditional wines and rare varietals. There are twenty acres of working vineyard, which are planted in Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Semillon and Chardonnay. Selected parcels of premium quality fruit is also sourced from other first-class vineyards. Calais Estate boasts one of the largest collections of quality boutique wines in the Hunter Valley. From its 20 acres of working vineyard, and superior parcels of grapes sourced from selected vineyards around the country, Calais produces a remarkable range of fine wines to suit every palate. The Calais Estate Range includes wines of the more traditional styles including Shiraz, Semillon, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir, as well as the more rare varietal of Chambourcin, Vioginer and Petit Verdot not often found in the Hunter Valley.
