2000 founding of buty For the first five years the winery was run entirely by Caleb and Nina. From our inaugural vintage forward, we have been very focused on selecting only the best fruit to transform into Buty wine. 2001 first vintage of rediviva of the stones and columbia rediviva In 1998 we fantasized about starting our own dream winery based on the marriage of cabernet sauvignon and syrah—which we manifested as Rediviva of the Stones and Columbia Rediviva. Buty was the first Washington winery to focus on these blends as deluxe wines. 2002 a vintage in south africa Zelma Long connected us with a winery project in South Africa, where we worked with fascination through crush.
