Very attractive clear golden yellow in the glass. Very big tropical fruit nose. There is fruit on the palate, but not as much as I feared. Some oak, but again, not overly so. Deep garnet color. Cherry dominates in the nose with other bright light fruits. Mild earthy aromas and dried leaves. Fairly tannic in the mouth with some bitter flavors at the end. Tart cherry and earthy flavors. After aerating, the bitterness is gone and the acidity remains strong. Read More
