Brancott Estate wines honour our original Marlborough home - Brancott Vineyard.

It's now more than 30 years since we introduced the world to a wine style unlike anything experienced before. We were the first to plant and create the world’s first Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc wine – a style that has since changed the course of New Zealand's wine industry.

While Marlborough is our home, we also craft wines from other renowned winegrowing regions of New Zealand – wines that continue to be judged among the best in shows the world over, and most importantly - by wine lovers such as yourself.

  • We met for a tasting of pinot noir from the major pinot producing areas.  Some very nice ones and some disappointments.  The nice find was that some of the great bargains were also some of the highest rated by thr group and it was a nice experience showing the many ways pinot can show its multitude of qualities.  My ratings are on each.  If you ... • Brancott Reserve Pinot Noir 2005

Floral nose. Some strawberry, but over all, it's a heavy, meaty and earthy Burgundian palate. Read More

  • Brancott Pinot Noir 2008

Sweet, stemmy, and slightly tropically-fruited on the nose with really nice layered complexity. On entry this is rather light and elegant with a very soft, round, caressing character. The strawberry fruit is fresh and set off by gently leafy and mineral tones that linger on the medium-length finish. 89pts Read More

  • Brancott Sauvignon Bl Ts Festival 2007

Surprised to see so many 3.0 and 3.5s on this delicious Marlborough - not that the threes are bad but I consider it to be right up there with Kim Crawford which garners a boat load of 4s. Very refined in my opinion. A little pricier than Kim Crawford in some stores. Another good bang for the buck. Read More

  • Davis Family Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Brancott Valley Gusto 2007

The "Gusto" wines represent the Southern Hemisphere portfolio from Davis Family Winery, most of whose wines, of course, come from Sonoma. These Gusto wines are made by Mr. Davis himself, not simply imported, and the care shows up in the quality of the wines. This Sauvignon Blanc is an unapologetic, in-your-face wine that opens with pungent grass... Read More
