  • Braida di Giacomo Bologna Il Fiore Langhe Bianco 2012

    Snoothrank:

Love this white blend of chardonnay (70%) and nascetta (30%), the latter being an indigenous Piedmontese grape. A beautiful combination of delicate and understated complexity. Grassy with citrus and floral notes - super light and refreshing with well balanced acidity. A stunning pairing with a number of cheeses, esp a locally made brie and a Pie... Read More

  • Hello - I just joined the site and have a question. My husband and I recently returned from a wonderful trip through the Piemonte region. I have been pulling my hair out trying to find some bottles of the lovely Barbera's we were drinking over there. They were called Barbera d'Monferrato -- and they had wonderful "frizzante" bubbles (not like Cham... • Braida di Giacomo Bologna Barbera del Monferrato la Monella Frizzante 2005

    Snoothrank:

This is a very interesting wine that I would not have ever tried if my wife and I hadn't visited the Braida winery. I've never had anything like it. It doesn't have award winning complexity of Braida's other barberas, but the wine is utterly refreshing and enjoyable. It's 'frizzante' versus being still or sparkling, so it has just enough carb...
