What began as a hobby for Mike young twenty years ago, later became a dream of he & his wife Lynne while at a wine festival on Lake Erie. Seven years later, that dream became...Bovine Wines! Located on a 50 acre farm in Buffalo Township, Washington County, PA, the name is derived from the fact that the land once housed a cattle operation. Even today, the neighbor's Longhorn cattle can be seen grazing the property. Renovation of the farm's pole barn was Mike's summer project in the years leading up to the winery's grand opening in June 2006. Drawing on the couple's sense of humor, the 36 varieties of wine feature witty & colorful cow images with names to match. The wines are made entirely from Pennsylvania grapes grown on the shores of Lake Erie. Their quaint, pine-paneled Winery features 130 varieties of Hot Sauce, Gourmet food items & made- to -order Gift Baskets. – Description from AlexJelena
