Description 1 of 1

In the three decades since Boeger Winery was founded, we have been committed to only one standard: quality. We have built on our education and experience to produce exceptional wines. We are able to control the quality of our wines because we grow over 90% of our grapes. We are small enough to allow full attention to detail. Boeger is committed not only to making the highest quality wines, but to pushing the boundaries of winemaking as well. Greg Boeger was one of the state's first producers of a varietal Merlot when it was virtually unheard of in California. Today he is a pioneer of innovative blends, drawing from over twenty-five varieties of grapes grown at the estate. Boeger is quickly becoming known for bringing new and uncommon varietals to the market place. We strive to give you the best winery experience in the Sierra Foothills. Friendly, knowledgeable tasting room staff, divine outdoor areas for picnics or events, beautiful visitor center, gift shop and the historic old cellar. We have complimentary and reserve wine tasting daily from 10 am to 5 pm. Boeger Winery is only 45 minutes east of Sacramento. Greg and Sue Boeger purchased the ranch in 1972 and started planting vineyards and built a new state-of-the-art-winery the following year. The old Fossati-Lombardo house was converted into a tasting room and was opened to the public in 1974. For over three decades the Boeger family has dedicated themselves to bringing you some of the Sierra Foothill's finest wines. The old cellar has recently been restored and is now used for special events and private gatherings.
