Pago de Cirsus estate covers 135 hectares of land in the town of Ablitas, in south Navarra. The winery stands to the north in the highest part of a chateau-style estate. It takes advantage of a natural valley between two small hills, with just one of its elevations facing the vineyard. Standing next to the winery is an enchanting five-star hotel, located in a unique 23-metre tower-house built from ashlar stones in the style of the old fourteenth-century fortresses of Olite and the Kingdom of Navarre. The aim of the winery and its owner, film producer Iñaki Nuñez, is to make a grand cru-style wine, using only the best grapes from the estate's vineyards.

  • Altos de Torona Albariño Sobre Lias 2015

    Snoothrank:

Focused salinity, stony minerality and ocean air on the nose are classic and expressive. Opens nicely on the palate with bright grapefruit, lime and melon fruit, tart acidity and more minerality coming through. This is canonically Albariño, freshly fruited and nicely balanced. Read More

  • Valtravieso Crianza 2013

    Snoothrank:

Soft, inviting and fruity on the nose, this brings a mix of red fruit notes of strawberry, cherry and raspberry along with a touch of smoke and savory bouillon. Dry and earthy on the palate with oak and black olive set against cranberry and strawberry fruit, this has plenty of structure and earth on the finish, dropping all fruit to the backgrou...
