In 1186, King Alfonso VIII founded the City of Plasencia under the motto "UT PLACEAT DEO ET HOMINIBUS" (FOR THE PLEASURE OF GOD AND MEN).
Given its privileged geographical location on the threshold of the Jerte Valley, next to the districts of La Vera, Valle del Ambroz, Las Hurdes, Sierra de Gata, Valle del Alagón and Monfragüe not to mention being an obligatory stop-off point along the Silver Trail convert Plasencia into the cultural and economic capital in the north of Cáceres. Furthermore, it is also considered a prime example of Roman and Gothic architecture.
Ángel Sánchez Redondo, a passionate winegrower, turned his project into reality on founding Bodegas y Viñedos Ángel Sánchez Redondo, a family company with a clearly defined philosophy: to produce great red wines.
