Bodegas Toro Albala

Bodegas Toro Albalá is considered to be one of the 100 Spanish Gold Wineries of the 21st century.
Located in the village of Aguilar de la Frontera, 50 km from Córdoba, Bodegas Toro Albalá was foundedin 1944 by Antonio Sánchez Prieto in a mill named La Noria, near the castle of this village.

From then on, sales started using home made equipment.

Un 1922, Jóse Mª Toro Albalá restored the former electric power station of Aguilar and moved the winery to this place (14,000 m2). This is compound of plenty of tunnels; perfect for the ageing and conservation of dry wines-hence the name of Eléctrico (electrical) or some wines.

In the city of Córdoba there are two sayings: "Electrify me" and "What is the voltage of the wine?"
