Bodegas Reyes was founded in 1994 by Juan José and Luis Reyes with their father Teofilo as Technical Director. Teofilo had been working in wine for over fifty years, not only as renowned wine-maker associated with some of the great names wich have made the reputation of the ibera but also as the founder of the first cooperative wineries in the egion. The first vintage produced by Bodegas Reyes, that of 1994, was placed among the ten top wines of the world after a tasting hosted by he highly prestigious magazine, The Wine Spectator. It was the first time that a Spanish wine has reached the top ten. – Description from milana

  • Bodegas Fariña Val de Reyes Tinto Goloso 4 Años En Barrica NV

    Snoothrank:

Dark, inky red in color with a gorgeous nose of raisins, dried cranberries, plum and molasses. Reminds me of a Pedro Ximenez, or even an LBV port. • Bodegas Fariña Val de Reyes Tinto Goloso 4 Años En Barrica NV

    Snoothrank:

Dark red with a rim that touches on brown. The nose is full of dried fruits and wood reminding me of a blend of an LBV port and Oloroso sherry. In the mouth the fruit is nice with a richness that fades quickly. Somewhat thin overall in relation to the fruit on the nose. Mild tannins that support the wine a bit, and not unpleasant at all, just un... Read More

  • Bodegas Fariña Val de Reyes Vino Dulce 2005

    Snoothrank:

Medium dark yellow in color showing a bold and perfumey bouquet of white flowers, fleshy peach and almond cream, reminiscent of turrón. In the mouth, the wine shows a lighter body than I would have anticipated, with light acidity and a medium short, slightly hot finish, of pear and almond paste. Read More

  • Bodegas Fariña Val de Reyes Vino Dulce 2005

    Snoothrank:

Nose is full of peach, white flowers, light cream and touches of almond. In the mouth the wine is light with a nice acidity and pear/peach flavors. Very one dimentional. Pleasant enough though with a short finish and no persistance. Touch of bitter alcohol on the finish leaves me unimpressed. Read More
