Bodegas Peñascal is a line of wines produced by Hijos de Antonio Barceló, a winery that has been operating since 1876. Peñascal, with the distinguished teardrop-shaped bottle, is a new brand offering to appeal to a younger, more modern market niche. The wines are available in a white Verdejo, red Tempranillo and “Fresh” rosado. From the website: “The H.A. BARCELÓ group has pledged to respect the environment by taking it into consideration when carrying out all the steps in our production. From the beginning until the end of the winemaking process, we are committed to minimizing our environmental impact and to promoting the rational use of natural resources.”
