Emilio Moro, the founder of Bodegas Emilio Moro, was born in Pesquera de Duero, a wine area of time-honoured traditions, where some of the flagship wines of the Ribera del Duero appellation are now produced. It was in this year that the winerys first vineyard, Finca Resalso, was planted.

  • Bodegas Emilio Moro Tempranillo Ribera del Duero 2005

    Snoothrank:

Opened and drank an '05 in April '10. It was very refined, at what I would consider a near perfect age. Wonderful deep purple color, smooth, fruity palate, with a leathery, spicy finish that lingered with just the right amount of dryness. Paired with spaghetti. Read More

  • Bodegas Emilio Moro Ribera del Duero Cepa 21 2006

    Snoothrank:

Alluring nose of rich ripe deep fruit. In the mouth same deep fruit, smooth, chewy and delicious, yet this is not a fruit bomb. Strong smooth tannins. Excellent acid. Good QPR. Read More

  • Bodegas Emilio Moro Tempranillo "Malleolus" Ribera del Duero 2008

    Snoothrank:

Smooth, balanced, delightful, with fruit surrounded by gripping tannins, a right level of acid, and finish of mineral-metal and fruit. Grown in limestone soils. Read More

  • Bodegas Emilio Moro Ribera del Duero 2006

    Snoothrank:

Elegant, balanced, smooth, delicious, and well-integrated tempranillo wine with inviting nose of caramel, flowers, dark fruit, hints of vanilla, pepper and light spice. Silky in the mouth, with ripe rich not sweet fruit, light spice, floral notes, and a consistent acid bite. Finishes of fruit and fading acid. Medium plus body, medium plus ac... Read More

  • Emilio Moro Finca Resalso 2007

    Snoothrank:

Elegant, balanced, and well-integrated tempranillo wine with inviting nose of caramel, dark fruit, hints of vanilla, pepper and light spice. Delightfully smooth acid, dark fruit, some oak and spice in the mouth, with round tannins, a metallic minerally sheen, and a finish of sweet oil with an aroma of wood and mineral. Very good QPR. • Bodegas Emilio Moro Tempranillo Ribera del Duero 2007

    Snoothrank:

Rich nose of alluring red and black fruit with light spice and hints of earth, cocoa, caramel, coffee. Rivers of mouth-coating deep layered fruit (cherry, currant) and hints of herbs, consistent and beautiful from start to finish. Grippy tannins and perfect acid that carry along and support the fruit tastes. Amazing quality. Read More

  • Malleolus Moro 2005

    Snoothrank:

Tinto del País, just the way it should be. Full bodied, velvet texture with earth and spicy notes in long finish. Can't drink better Ribera del Duero for 20eur, I'm just sorry I didn't buy whole damn case :) Should age at least 5+ more years. Read More
