Bodegas Beronia is a winery in Rioja founded in 1973 by a group from the local gastronomic society. It’s named for the warrior tribe of Celtic origin who dwelled in the land in the 3rd century. The winery is committed to producing Rioja in the classic style, using a blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo for reds and Viura for whites, barrel aged in American oak. They also produce a line of barrel aged single varietal wines, and are among the only producers who make a single variety Mazuelo. They are dedicated to the environment and in 2000 they were awarded with certification for their environmental management system.
