Bodegas Altanza -located in Fuenmayor, at the heart of Upper Rioja- is surrounded by tempranillo vineyards. It is thus sited in one of the most fertile and privileged lands of the Denomination/ Apellation of Origin Rioja. The winery –its premises and gardens– is conceived, designed and built with the same heart as is put into its winemaking. We have used the noblest materials for its construction, striving always to blend tradition and modernity. This philosophy is easily noticed as soon as one takes a glance at the exterior appearance, but also at the beauty and functionality of the interiors –even the wines show a balance between oak and fruit. – Description from AlexJelena

  • Bodegas Altanza Tempranillo Blend Rioja Edulis Rioja Tinto 2006

Wonderful!--I bought a case of bargain wines (priced from 10$--15$) mostly from Spain and this was BY FAR the best wine of the bunch! Complex, smooth, velvety, with a soft smokey and leathery taste--this was a truly amazing wine. Without hesitation, I give this a 90 rating. Read More
