Liberalia is a family owned vineyard located in the prestigious area of the Denominación de Origen Toro, in the province of Zamora, Spain. Liberalia started its production of singular and high quality wines in the year 2000. Previously and since 1996, Juan Antonio Fernández, the owner, faithful to his career as agricultural engineer, acquired and organized the vineyards, whose ages range between 30 and 100 years old. The vineyard is located in fields where the traditional crop has been the vine. The variety is Tinta de Toro, which is an adaptation to the terroir of the variety Tempranillo or Tinto Fino. Really quite appealing and keeps me busy just smelling it. Very sweet though with a medium to low acidity and it feels quite light in the mouth. The peach of the nose follows through to the p... • Liberalia Toro Cuatro 2002

Deep purple very rich and opaque. Nice earthy nose with vanilla, liquorice, and a dusty minerality. In the mouth this wine is dense w/strong tannins, that appear very fine with a firm acidity. Flavors of cherry, anise, light earth, oak (well integrated), and light raspberry. Very rich and probably better with some grilled lamb. 3.5/5 [NR] Read More
