Blossom Winery was named one of BC’s Top 24 Exporters for 2006. This is quite an honour as we are the only winery on that list. Our International Award Winning wines are available through out North America and Asia. All our wines are put through a slow cool fermentation process that helps bring out the natural flavours of the fruit, whether it is grapes, blueberries or even raspberries. We welcome you to our tasting room to come experience wines that truly reflect the wonderful fruit of BC. – Description from mriskic

But since there was some Syrah talk going on I thought I'd start a new thread on Cool Climate Syrah.Tonight I'm visiting a wine I haven't had in since May and wanted to see how it is progressing. It comes from high up atop the Yorkville Highlands in the Anderson Valley  which is in ... Read More

  • So you can follow it on the other threads, but I was supposed to fly into New York for the dinner on November 2, but this storm thing messed that up--our cousin had to let his sister use the apartment when she lost power at her home in NJ.  Plus the airlines were saying I might not even get in, and they'd refund the miles.  It was going to be a ... • Last week, I took a look at value Pinot Grigios priced at $15 and under. Today, we turn the tables and look at a handful of wines that break through the $15 threshold. Some of those value priced wines are just as good, albeit in a slightly different style, as many of these wines. The main difference is that if you were shopping blind, you would b... Read More

  • Clonakilla Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend Canberra District Blanc 2011

$25 direct from winery. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon that was barrel fermented on lees. Very pale lemon colour. Clean youthful aromas of lime blossom, cut grass and passionfruit. Dry, full-bodied white wine with lots of vibrant acidity. Waves of salivating passionfruit and lemon flavours. This is great with antipasto. Drink now. 91/100. Read More
