Bedrock is an itsy-bitsy winery making wine in a converted chicken coop. Fruit from only the most excellent vineyard sites is hand pitch-forked into the destemmer, fermented in open top redwood and stainless vats using only native yeasts, and are manually basket pressed by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson into the sexiest oak from the coldest French forests. – Description from Alejandro

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Papera Ranch Heritage Russian River Valley 2012

Dark plum color. Fruity/brambly nose. Blackberry and plum on the tip of the tongue. Also, suggestions of pepper, anise and cocoa as the wine passes over the tongue and under the palate. Very light on the tannin. Reasonable tannin. Medium finish. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Lorenzo's Heritage Dry Creek Valley 2012

More red than blue purple color. Fairly fruity on entry but not the raspberry thing that I often get from DCV Zinsor Zin-heavy blends. More like stewed fruitsplum, apricot. Very mellow tannin. Mild acid. Another easy-to-drink wine, but not particularly complex. Read More

  • Abrente Napa Valley Albarino 2014

Really excellent Carneros albarino from Bedrock/Abrente. There's some salinity that goes along with the lemon zest, mouth watering acidity, key lime pie, a hint of hazelnut and a bit of apricot. The finish is medium long. I'm guessing folks are drinking this too cold, it significantly improved as it warmed up in the glass. Read More

Fruit basket on the nose with some very nice floral notes. Taste of Zinfandel and Syrah with balancing acidity and a nice fruity light tannin finish. Great QPR, buy all you can find. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Co. the Bedrock Heritage 2012

Wow, pretty big explosion of fruit aromas. On the tongue, red raspberry, maybe, tart stone fruitplum. Tartness indicates very pleasing level of acidity. The acidity is in contrast to a slight raisiny sweetness. Very tame tannin. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Company the Bedrock Heritage 2014

Quite a chewy sensation on entry. Dark berry fruit, but, also, a suggestion of dried fruitplum, apricot. A very intense and full-bodied wine. Earthy, minerally things happening mid-palate. Stout tannins and strong acids suggest good aging potential. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Company Evangelho Vineyard Heritage Contra Costa County 2013

The purple color is more red than blue. Pleasant enough fruity nose with, maybe, a hint of anise. Fruitier than I normally like on entryblueberry, prunea little too much sweetness for me. This is followed by some drying tannin. This wine needs acid to balance the fruitiness. Aftertaste is pleasant and lengthywhich, to me, shows the folly of... Read More
