Bedrock is an itsy-bitsy winery making wine in a converted chicken coop. Fruit from only the most excellent vineyard sites is hand pitch-forked into the destemmer, fermented in open top redwood and stainless vats using only native yeasts, and are manually basket pressed by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson into the sexiest oak from the coldest French forests. – Description from Alejandro

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Sonoma Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2015

    Snoothrank:

Nose is almost acridseems really acidic. Some tart grapefruit on entry, then, some tropical fruitbananaor melon. Some grassiness. Yes, there is quite tart acid. That, of course, makes for a refreshing wine. Certainly, easy to drink, but, equally certain, not a particularly sophisticated wine. Read More

  • The Liquid Farm Chardonnay sounds enticing.  I think we all know the Bedrock Wine Co. crafts some good wine but I have not seen them available out here on the east coast.  How did you get them? Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Pagani Ranch Heritage Red WIne 2012

    Snoothrank:

Dark red plum color. Fruity acerbic nose with a suggestion of herbsrosemary. Tart plum on initial entry, then blackberry. Some earthiness farther back under the palate. Tannins are fairly stiff with supporting acid. This suggests to me that additional sideways resting might be beneficial. Read More

  • Bedrock Ode To Lulu Rose 2015

    Snoothrank:

Lovely salmon color in the glass. Sprightly, flowery nose. Very nice acid tartness on the tip of the tongue. Fruit flavor of, more than anything else, kiwi, although the tartness is more like lemon. Amazingly crisp and almost bone dry. I think the sweetness I am detecting is because of the fruity sensations, not from any RS. Just a terrific... Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Company Dolinsek Ranch Heritage 2013

    Snoothrank:

More blue than red purple color. Lots of black fruit on entryblackberry, black plum that may be a tad overripe, and there may be a suggestion of blueberry. Surprisingly, this wine is not as full-bodied as I might have guessed. It is, in fact, far from full-boded. Very sedate tannins. A touch of bitterness on the rear palate, but that is gon... • Not missing out on the Bedrock Vineyard thing.  I ordered these a few ... ... ... will be compared to the Bedrock Wine Co. and the Limerick Lanes that I had.  As you can see from the pic of OT's HVS 3-pack carrier, I have a ways to go, yet, before I have anything near a comprehensive collectionOn the Palisades PS, I also have examples from Ca... • Bedrock Wine Co. Papera Ranch Heritage Russian River Valley 2012

    Snoothrank:

Dark plum color. Fruity/brambly nose. Blackberry and plum on the tip of the tongue. Also, suggestions of pepper, anise and cocoa as the wine passes over the tongue and under the palate. Very light on the tannin. Reasonable tannin. Medium finish. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Lorenzo's Heritage Dry Creek Valley 2012

    Snoothrank:

More red than blue purple color. Fairly fruity on entry but not the raspberry thing that I often get from DCV Zinsor Zin-heavy blends. More like stewed fruitsplum, apricot. Very mellow tannin. Mild acid. Another easy-to-drink wine, but not particularly complex. Read More

  • Abrente Napa Valley Albarino 2014

    Snoothrank:

Really excellent Carneros albarino from Bedrock/Abrente. There's some salinity that goes along with the lemon zest, mouth watering acidity, key lime pie, a hint of hazelnut and a bit of apricot. The finish is medium long. I'm guessing folks are drinking this too cold, it significantly improved as it warmed up in the glass. Read More
