Bedrock is an itsy-bitsy winery making wine in a converted chicken coop. Fruit from only the most excellent vineyard sites is hand pitch-forked into the destemmer, fermented in open top redwood and stainless vats using only native yeasts, and are manually basket pressed by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson into the sexiest oak from the coldest French forests. – Description from Alejandro

Bedrock Wine Co. on Snooth

  •  I was going to suggest that you go to the Halcon Vineyards, Myriad Cellars and Bedrock WIne Co, websites and get on their mailing lists, Randy.  That is the best way to obtain these. (That's how I get them down here in the California deep south.)  However, I see that Kentucky does not allow consumers to accept deliveries from wineries.  So, unl... Read More

  • Bedrock Judge Family Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2014

    Snoothrank:

This is really hitting the spot on this hot North Carolina afternoon. The nose has some nice floral notes and on the palate is plenty of citrus - lemon, lime, some (but not too much) grapefruit, zingy acidity but with a bit of a tongue coating finish. Very refreshing and very tasty. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Company the Bedrock Heritage 2013

    Snoothrank:

Murky marroon color in the glass. Nose of blackberry and plummake that prune. Fairly jammy on the tip of the tongue. This declines closer to neutral on subsequent tastesmay be a result of air, or maybe not. Serious tannin also neutralizes fruit. Some stoniness in the back of the palate. Read More

  • Bedrock Alder Springs Syrah 2012

    Snoothrank:

Subdued black fruit aromas, with something of a fungal/mushroomy suggestion. Subtle hit of blackberry on the tip of the tongue. Initial fruit sensation evolves to an earthiness, and, then a steely flavor. Pretty serious tannin and acid suggest that I not open up future bottles for some time. Read More
