Bedrock is an itsy-bitsy winery making wine in a converted chicken coop. Fruit from only the most excellent vineyard sites is hand pitch-forked into the destemmer, fermented in open top redwood and stainless vats using only native yeasts, and are manually basket pressed by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson into the sexiest oak from the coldest French forests. – Description from Alejandro

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Limerick Lane Vineyard Zinfandel 2014

Very nice refreshing wine. Not too heavy on the red fruit on entry. Some spice--clove. Not terribly full-bodied. Most tannins. Very nice tart acid. Something of a retro-nasal red cherry sensation. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Weill a Way Vineyard Sonoma County Mixed Blacks 2014

I'm sure it is suggestion overtaking my perception but mixed blacks describes the fruit component of this wine--blackberry, currant, black plum. Not particularly full-bodied, at all, but eminently drinkable, Good acid. Light tannin. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Co.Bedrock Heritage 2015

Nice fruit on entry--plum, berry. A slight bitterness that is a tad distracting. Noticeable acid--I like acid, so this is not disturbing to me, but other tasters may not care for it, Moderate tannin--in line with my expectations. I find this to be an enjoyable wine, Drinkable now, but I won't rush to my last bottle. Read More

  • Bedrock Papera Ranch Heritage Red Russian River Valley 2014

Opens with lots of red raspberry fruit. A mouth-filling wine. I find the tannins to be quite sedate. Love the acid level. That gives it a freshness. This is a very enjoyable wine at this point. Read More

  • Bedrock Pagani Ranch Heritage Sonoma Valley 2013

Thick texture on the tongue, with slight flavor of unsweet dried dark fruit. Some slate. Still observable tannins. I am enjoying this wine, tonight, but the tannin and acid suggest to me that others need not rush into this wine. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Limerick Lane Vineyard Zinfandel 2013

Black fruitmaybe, even, blueberryon entry. Not the most mouthfilling Zin Ive ever had, but, certainly, pleasant enough. Moderate tannin. Very nice acid provides a nice counterpoint to the upfront berriness. An easy wine to enjoy. Read More

  • Bedrock Hudson Vineyard South T'N'S-blocks Syrah 2013

Dark purple in the glass. Earthy, maybe a "forest floor" nose. I always get fruit on the tip of the tongue and, sure enough, lite red fruit--cherry, suggestion of strawberry, stone fruit. Then the earthiness happens, mid-palate. Nice tart acid. I could use a bit more backbone from tannin, but I'm still OK with this wine. Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Gewurztraminer Alta Vista Vineyard Moon Mountain District 2016

Quite pale yellow color. Very reluctant nose. Tropical fruit on the tonguepineapple, kiwiand surprisingly little Gewurztraminer spice. The wine is completely dry, but the hyper fruitiness tempts you to think otherwise. Quite acidic. So, it is quite tart, but that makes it refreshing. Very light-bodied. A lengthy aftertaste exactly like on... Read More

  • Bedrock Wine Co. Carlisle Vineyard Zinfandel 2013

Very surprising, subtle entry on the tongue. Some red berry fruit, but not, necessarily any particular berry that I can pick out. Nice. Good tannin and sprightly acid. Interesting that I seem to get more fruitand its stone fruiton the rear palate than on the tip of the tongue. Good job, Bedrock. Read More
