Becherovka is a liqueur produced in Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) in what is known as West Bohemia, in the Czech Republic. The recipe was created in the late 18th century by spice trader Josef Vitus Becher. The exact blend of herbs and botanicals used in its production is still kept a secret.
