Basket Case Wines was started by Chenin and Sean Carlton in 2006. We've been doing the wine thing for a long time, and we've always felt the wine industry has done a lousy job of conveying a very simple truth: it's not about exclusivity, arrogance, elitism, or pomposity. Wine is about having fun. Though we can't make it any more simple than that, we can sure make it easier for you to enjoy than has previously been the case. We don't care what you drink, how you drink it, or whether or not you can put words to what you are tasting. DRINK WHAT YOU LIKE! That's all there is to it. – Description from mriskic

  • My parents just finished renovating their basement, which now includes a huge wine area for my Dad's "collection."  He fancies himself a wine connoisseur, but although he does know a little about wine, he's not a serious collector, nor does he have a particularly sophisticated palate.  Anyway, he mentioned that now that he has a lot more room, h... • I started thinking about what wine to take to Easter Dinner and could not stop thinking about how yummy a certain sweet red sparkling wine would be with some marshmallow peeps. Its red fruit flavors and bubbles would be delightful with the spongy, gooey candy--so I said heck with the ham! What is your favorite wine to pair with Easter and Spring... Read More

  • I was messing around on Domaine547, somehow stumbled onto Snooth, and dove right in. Long time beer/cocktail drinker, but wine manages to slip in now and then. Just wanted to say hi to everyone, but instead of the usual "hi I'm new/welcome newbie" thread, I thought any repliers should also toss in their favorite red wine, and maybe a little tidb...
