Basket Case Wines was started by Chenin and Sean Carlton in 2006. We've been doing the wine thing for a long time, and we've always felt the wine industry has done a lousy job of conveying a very simple truth: it's not about exclusivity, arrogance, elitism, or pomposity. Wine is about having fun. Though we can't make it any more simple than that, we can sure make it easier for you to enjoy than has previously been the case. We don't care what you drink, how you drink it, or whether or not you can put words to what you are tasting. DRINK WHAT YOU LIKE! That's all there is to it. – Description from mriskic

  • I recently heard that in addition to its contribution to the flavor and complexity of wines, that oak was also an effective anti-oxidant, helping the wine to age gracefully for longer periods of time. Also, that sediment in older wines had to do with the oak.It prompted me to search for some additional articles or info on oak. Found this random ... Read More

  • Re-Posted by Sonata Wine:Greek wines Rule!OK, let's start with Santorini.  First off, the island is breathtakingly beautiful, situated in the Southern Aegean Sea.  Single-story, cubical pure white houses adorn the island, peering out over the blue sea, with black pumice and ash providing the landscape.  The island is actually the remains of ... • Living in Sonoma County my cellar is pretty Cali-Centric. I mean in an earthquake it just may break off and fall into the Pacific Ocean. So tonight I'm going with something completely different.
