It is available, that is for sure. And it's known thing so you can rely on it. I own very little Gaja though. I think the price is a bit too steep for my tastes.

One advantage of Sperss, for example, is its widespread availability--kinda like the Opus One of Barolo (though I imagine any Gaja representative who saw this analogy might shudder). I've probably encountered it at more good Italian restaurants in more countries and regions... Read more

DM, I meant that I don't need to taste Gaja. Leaving aside my personal preference his wines have a very distinct, and consistent taste and feel to them. I would be surprised if I was surprised by a Gaja wine :-) I would rather be exposed to other producer either unknown or changing... Read more
