  • Below are some good online wine purveyors I've dealt with very successfully over the years. They have provided well-curated wine selections at good prices, processed purchases well, and shipped efficiently (though not all internationally). I'm throwing their names out with multiple aims in mind:to see if anyone has good or bad experiences to sha... Read More

I figured I would start simply, and make a list of the top 5 red wines in the world. I'm not talking specifics, but rather geeral categories, and eventuallywe can start naming our favorite specific wines i each category. So I'm... Read More

  • I just finished reading 10 pages of very interesting, insightful and articulate posts about the perceived demise of California Cabernet Sauvignon. There was a lot of data contributing to the perception that California is in the middle of a high alcohol "fruit bomb" era.I'm not going to pretend to be Robert Parker Jr., James Laube or even several... • Living in Sonoma County my cellar is pretty Cali-Centric. I mean in an earthquake it just may break off and fall into the Pacific Ocean. So tonight I'm going with something completely different. I picked up an El Nido Clio 2008 that I'm giving a test drive to see if I want more. Anything other than California wine or Rhones and I am treading on ... Read More
