Smokey/Spicy right away with dark cherries on the back. Some fruits of the forest as well. Licorice, leather, and cloves. Quite aromatic. On the tongue it's quite spicy as well, or is it the fuet (Spanish salami but better as the Catalans say). Tart and fruity as well on the tongue. Does go well with the fuet and crackers on the table. Barnyard comes strongly through on the nose followed by aged straw. Some fruits on the back end. Tannic on the tongue, more fruits come through after tasting. Would do well with a hearty polenta with sausage and tomatoes Read More

A fairly closed nose to begin with, we get a bit of plum and cherry and sweet black prunes. Wood fire/ smoke also come through with cinnamon and clove. Well balanced on the taste- oak, tannins, fruit, acidity, not too heavy. It's a really nice wine. Read More
