  • Smith Wooton Cabernet Franc 2006

Really nice Napa Cab Franc from Smith Wooton. This is fairly dark for 100% cab franc with loads of dark ripe fruit on the nose. Ripe blackberry, a hint of tar and leather, some baking spices, fine grained, fairly resolved tannins, medium acidity and a medium long finish. This paired pretty nicely with a crock pot bbq brisket. • Smith Wooton Cabernet Franc Gallagher's Vineyard 2011

Really tasty Napa cab franc from Smith Wooton. Loads of ripe black cherry, a touch of rhubarb, some spice, mouth watering acidity and a fairly long finish. This went quite well with a crock pot roast. Read More

  • Croze Chardonnay Simone Vineyard 2012

This is a big Napa chardonnay with not too subtle but not over the top oak and hints of butterscotch, ripe pear and honey. Medium acidity goes with a medium long finish that leaves a touch of vanilla on the back of the tongue. For the price I'd put this up against some $50 chards any day. Read More

It comes from high up atop the Yorkville Highlands in the Anderson Valley  which is in ... Read More
