The nose was unexpectedly advanced, showing damp soil with cherry, herbs, floral rose and minerals. On the palate, it was soft with ripe cherry and hints of iron like minerals. Stern tannins showed through on the finish with notes of cherry and cedar staying through the close. Read More
A great value and nice example of newer blends coming out of Piedmonte. Believe its mostly Pinot Noir w/ Barbera. Ghisolfi is a great producer with value offerings in Barolo, Barbera, etc. Not carried in many places in my experience. We love both of these wines but they can be harder to find. For father's day I would like to find a couple of bottles of each. I would like to stay under $30. I did a snooth search and so many came up, I thought some of you could maybe help narrow it down. Any suggestions? Read More
