Sustainable viticulture is our strategic approach in optimizing grape quality. Integral piece is vineyard surveillance in terms of pests and beneficial organisms as well as the evaluation of our cellar operations. Within our integrated cultivation of the vineyards, we apply a combination of biological, mechanical and chemical procedures in respect of recent scientific research. Due to this mixture, our intervention on the environment is minimized in terms of CO2 output. All non-avoidable CO2-emissions are compensated by donations to Climate Protection projects certified by Climate Austria.

  • Isole E Olena Cepparello Very Lightly Wine-Stained Label 2006

Easy to see why Paolo de Marchi is one of the world's pre-eminent artisan producers. This is one of those wines which easily transcend their appellation council's stipulations. Gorgeous amarena cherry liqueur, tobacco, spice and violet hints. Sensational nose, with very bright acidity, along with soft and refined tannins. The quality/price fac... Read More

  • Over the past decade the UK has been developing a reputation for its sparkling wines. Over here in the US, people tend to snort at the thought of British wine, at first, but then after considering the relative latitudes and the weather to that of Champagne start to see its potential. • About this time in 1999, I took an unknowing, impassioned first step into what has now turned into a ten-year love affair with wine.  Today I find myself back in my old stomping grounds of New York City pouring wines at a trade tasting.  Not as a volunteer, but as a vintner.  From a career in magazine publishing to wine production, it is amazin...
