  • Great overview! My wife and I were in Napa Valley around roughly the same time but it looks like we hit completely different wineries. It was a beautiful time of year to be out there but I will say I was a bit surprised to see 100 degree temps at the end of September. The wineries... Read more

  • Artesa Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley 2005

    Snoothrank:

Very elegant, long soft tannins. Very nice blackberry, dark chocolate, cassis and blueberry. Very nicely balanced cab.

  • Artesa Haire Vineyard Pinot Noir 2006

    Snoothrank:

Spicier pinot, chewy medium long finish, soil earthy. My wife was not a fan. More tannins than the 2007.

  • Artesa Pinot Noir Carneros 2007

    Snoothrank:

Cherry, tobacco, and notes of spice. Short to medium length on finish. Easy to drink pinot noir.

  • Artesa Chardonnay Carneros 2007

    Snoothrank:

I am just in general not an Oaky chardonay fan. This is an oaky chard with buttery flavors and a fair amount of residual sugar. Not at all cisp due to the malolactic fermentation.

  • Artesa Tempranillo Reserve 2004

    Snoothrank:

Bright red cherry color and flavor. Medium finish, hints of tobacco, leather. Burst of fruit at the beginning tapering off to a smooth finish.
