Arrogant Frog was born in the Herault Valley in Languedoc in the south of France, near the Mediterranean sea, close to the small town of Pezenas which inspired the famous playwright Moliere, and not far from such magnificent historic sites as the Canal du Midi. Arrogant Frog vineyards have been planted with Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carignan and Cinsault grape varietes for red and rose wines, and Viognier, Marsanne, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay for whites. – Description from markomkc

Bevmo deal. Picked it up and enjoyed it on a unseasonable warm New Years Day in San Diego. Crisp and refreshing. Great deal. Hits of hibiscus and mellon. Perfect for a picnic. Slight acidity which was slightly confusing at first but it worked well with the nose and the finish. Cheers Read More

  • Arrogant Frog Sauvignon Blanc Pezenas 2011

Very lemony on the nose with soft suggestions of flowers and grass. This is bright and zesty in the mouth, simple but pure with lemon notes and a faint edge of sweet apricot fruit. A touch round, the modest finish shows a slightly dusty edge. It doesnt do much but what it does, it does well. 84pts Read More
