Aresti Wine of Chile is a family-owned winery that was founded in 1951, when Vicente Aresti and his father-in-law Alfredo López decided to establish a winery in the Curicó Valley. Convinced that they could make fine wines, the family acquired new land, invested in technology, and in 1999 began to sell their products under the Aresti label. Today, three generations of the Aresti family have dedicated their efforts and knowledge to producing widely recognized wines of the highest quality. – Description from Kursulla

  • Personally, I think a lot of the Chilean stuff I can get is not particularly ... Brazil I brought back some Aresti wines that I tasted and loved them.  I can't find them here anywhere.  I prefer Argentine versus Chilean generally.  The last Chilean Carmenere I had tasted like they definitely added something to it (artificial Read More

  • Aresti Gewürztraminer Estate Selection 2009

I generally do not drink white wines from Chile, but, this Gewurztraminer had such a wonderful citrus bouquet, I could not pass on it. Tangy citrus tastes linger throughout - grapefruit and sparse indications of lemon - fun and light - decent wine for $7 price tag Read More

Possibly too young to open. Tastes like a barrel sample. Blackberries and coffee with some "juicy tang". The tannins are like ground coffee beans. Read More

  • Aresti Gewürztraminer Estate Selection 2007

I tried this wine for Thanksgiving dinner. I always like Gerwurztraminer w/Thanksgiving food but this one was way too dry and lacked Gerwurtz's characteristics. It seemed to have been blended heavily with sauvignon blanc, the signature white varietal of Chile. Just disappointed. I will stick with Alsatian gerwurtztraminers or German ones. Read More
