Antica Terra Pinot Noir 2007
Snoothrank:
Starting at $44.95 RP gave it 92 pts. I disagree. Great nose, but the palate doesn't deliver on what the nose starts. It's a weak pinot, far too mellow for me. Just OK. -Tasted at Marché Bacchus 11/14/09

Antica Terra Pinot Noir Oregon 2006
Snoothrank:
Strange canned veggie aroma including the tin. A bit boring on the palate. Soft on palate with some berry fruit there, but a bit to short on finish. Some spice and tomato paste were found as well.

And away I go.... 2006 Faiveley Bourgogne 13% $20 Lean, ungenerous and acid ... 2007 Antica Terra Willamette This is a crazy wine with strong arugula, candied anise seed and medicinal notes on the nose but it works, setting off the subtle fruit perfectly. A really Burgundian,... Read more

Antica Terra Pinot Noir Oregon 2006
Snoothrank:
Awesome aromatics with a beefy, black pepper tinged core that is accented by slight cola notes and lovely sweet/savory Burgundian fruit. On entry this seems a bit muddled with it's earthy presentation but quickly sorts itself out as the mid-palate brings together that earthiness with... Read more

Antica Terra Pinot Noir 2007
Snoothrank:
Smells bizarely medicinal with candied anise seed, arugula, root beer, cola and watermelon but it works! Nicely balanced in the mouth with a natural if slightly fleshy feel. Not a fruit driven style but with excellent depth and persistence and a clean earthy finish. Give this a year... Read more

Antica Terra Pinot Noir Oregon 2006
Snoothrank:
This opens with a lovely beefy, black peppery nose with a touch of cola and dank, sweet/savory Burgundian berry fruits. A bit muddled on the attack with earth, roast meat and hay notes that yield to beautiful herbal tinged ripe dark cherry and black berry fruits. Finishes with solid... Read more
