We celebrated the beginning of the new millenium with a mission in mind and a passion in heart: to transform the best of the Israeli sun, grapes and tradition into a bottle of world-class Israeli wine. The Amphorae Vineyard is dedicated to combining read more...the love of wine with quality tradition and the delicate mix of knowledge, perfection, and passion to produce a world-class Israeli wine.
When a group of wine lovers started Amphorae Vineyard, we decided to establish a winery with the goal of making a world-class Israeli wine. Our mission was clear: take no shortcuts and spare no efforts to create a true perfection in winemaking. For the location, we came to Makura ranch in the heart of the Carmel Mountains where the Maharal River gently winds. The Amphorae Vineyard is located precisely where the river crosses the Shirr Valley. A serene Mediterranean view surrounds the winery, creating the right ambience to make a perfect wine. We hired Diego Grasso, a well known architect who has designed several well known wineries in northern Italy, to custom design the winery. Our professional staff carefully chose the equipment for the winery, to ensure the perfect setup for a perfect wine. The winery will gradually grow to a maximum capacity of 100.000 bottle production, with an emphasis to maintain the highest quality at all time.    (hide)
