Like the love of Romeo & Juliet, this wine is youthful & innocent. Bright fruit & fresh cherry aromas. Can certainly be enjoyed now.
30% of the grapes for this wine are heald back to be dried on straw mats. Luscious cherries, chocolate, coffee. This ripasso method gives the wine added depth and complexity and power.
Bourbon lovers rejoice. Imagine a grape, blackberry, bing cherry flavored whiskey with tons of oak, alcohol and intensity & you have this powerhouse from Italy. Not for the faint of palate.

I don't know if I had the same wine as Nick. My friend included this amongst his selection for his wine tasting and it was a popular favourite. Yum!

A great bargain for an average retail under $20. Corvina, Rondinella and a touch of Sangiovese, 30% of the grapes are held back, dried, and vinified seperately, then added back to the base wine in the style of Amarone....

I've had a few wines from Allegrini and have generally enjoyed them. This one was reminiscent of the wine I tried to make in my basement a few years ago - I think I ended up pouring most of it out.
